April Wrap-Up

🇨🇦 This article was originally published on the Toronto Travel Massive blog

With Spring in the air, it’s evident that Canadians are coming out of hibernation in full force. April brought our travel group out to not one, but two meetups and brought lots of fresh new faces to the group.

On April 14th our dear friend JD Andrews aka @EarthXplorer was in town and we met up at Alio Bar for a little meet and greet and a night full of laughs.

It was so great to see @meeshbeer and him reunite many years after working on a cruise ship together. She even pulled out some old photos and we had a good laugh. JD- you were such a stud! Read his wrap-up of the night on his blog.

At the end of the month, we did something a little different by being tourists in our own city. The good people at Intrepid Travel and Urban Adventures hosted us on their ‘Beer Makes History Better’ Tour and it was such a great night.

We began our journey touring through some of the historic sites of Toronto and visiting a number of different pubs including C’est What and Betty’s. The Apricot Wheat beer was a big hit.

After learning about Toronto’s drunken past, we made our way into the Distillery District to Mill St. Brewery where our guide Dave had nothing but knowledge to share about how beer is made and offered some great recommendations to the group.

For a full list of attendees, check the event invite. For the full photo album, be sure to check out our Facebook Page. If you haven’t done this tour yet, we highly recommend it!
