The Intrepid Contest

Intrepid Travel has been a regular supporter of Toronto Travel Massive from the outset. Aside from hosting us and providing us with snacks, beverages and prizes, Intrepid Travel has held two contests with us.
The Intrepid Fundraiser
In October 2011, Intrepid sponsored a fundraising contest: The Toronto Travel massive member who raised the most funds for the Intrepid Foundation and Deepalaya, a project they support in India, won an all-expenses paid Intrepid trip to India, including airfare. Travel blogger and Indiaphile Mariellen Ward of Breathedreamgo.com raised more than $1,200 and won the trip. You can read more about this contest in the October wrap-up post.
The Intrepid Trip
Intrepid also sponsored a giveaway at our first anniversary party in August 2011. Attendees at the party were asked to tweet a photo of themselves in front of a Machu Piccu banner, with this message:
The grand prize winner was randomly chosen at the end of the evening. Travel blogger Red Hunt won a trip to Macchu Piccu in Peru. Katy Rockett of Intrepid Travel, has been a loyal and enthusiastic supporter of TTM from the very start. She said:
“Working with the Toronto Travel Massive has been such an inspiration over the past year. We have met so many talented and driven individuals who are really breaking ground and pushing the boundaries in developing a solid and meaningful connection between social media and the travel industry. We have benefitted greatly from working with such a great group of people and are always looking forward to what the next meetup will bring!”
