March Wrap-Up: Hotel Le Germain and Our Pre-TBEX Workshop
🇨🇦 This article was originally published on the Toronto Travel Massive blog
Every once and awhile we like to get serious about blogging. With Spring in bloom and TBEX on the way, we’re counting down the days to the biggest travel blogging conference yet (ehem, 49 sleeps!). To get ready for it, Toronto Travel Massive in March held The Pre-TBEX Workshop at Hotel Le Germain Toronto. PLUS, we announced our BIG NEWS for TBEX!
Why Hotel Le Germain
We were invited to spend the evening in the very chic Hotel Le Germain, located by the Maple Leaf Square in downtown Toronto. Hotel Le Germain in Maple Leaf Square is the second of the boutiques’ brand to be set up in Toronto, and the hotel’s operations staff pride themselves on creating a unique and personalized experience for guests.
The Atmosphere
We would like to thank the hotel for providing us with their Hall of Fame room as well as an exclusive guided tour for Toronto Travel Massive members. The hotel’s space is perfect for casual gatherings or formal meetings. Their event staff is top notch, providing accommodating options and overseeing the finest details. Their suites are contemporary while making you feel at home the Canadian way – suites are decorated with a touch of Canadian sports, photographs by Canadian based artists, hallways that illuminate during game night, and you’ll find stunning views of Maple Leafs Square throughout the hotel. Personal touches also include their signature green apples and iPod docks stations right in your suite!

Catharine Gracon, Director of Sales and Marketing for the hotel was also on hand. We thank her for her generosity in offering the big giveaway of the night! One lucky couple won a one-night luxurious stay during TBEX!

Hotel Le Germain is also offering travel bloggers and TBEX attendees a special rate for their June stay in Toronto. To book, check out their website or contact them directly and mention you heard it from Toronto Travel Massive!
The Cuisine
We were delightfully greeted with wine and an amazing spread of canapé’s and hors d’oeuvres; a cheese platter, mushroom tartare with quail egg, smoked trout beignets with lemon caper aioli, hot cross buns with braised lamb and fig compote. To complete the night, attendees indulged in Spanish churros with chocolate espresso sauce! Delicious! Compliments to Chef Ken Zess who crafts the tasty dishes at Hotel Le Germain by hand!

The Workshop
After a quick introduction from the guest services managers of the hotel, our Travel Massive co-founders each gave excellent presentations to help us with our blogs. Mariellen of BreatheDreamGo talked about creative writing and journalism, and Alicia of My Life Untethered gave a fantastic overview of what to expect at the upcoming Travel Blog Exchange Conference, coming to Toronto in June. (If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, get them here before prices go up!) Both have several years of industry and insider knowledge. And boy did they divulge!
