In April 2014 Toronto Travel Massive held one of its most unique events! Long-time supporters LMA Communications and their client, Visit Philly hosted the Travel Massive community at a Toronto cooking school.

The aim of the event was to showcase Philadelphia’s rich food scene and the many reasons why this is a must-visit destination for Canadian travellers.

The cooking studio was the perfect venue to sample the tastes of Philadelphia. The team at Visit Philly flew in from south of the border bringing with them our own personal chef, Chef Scott @FoodsYouCanEat for the evening. After a cooking demonstration, food bloggers and travel writers were given a sampling of Philly staples including Philly Cheese Steak Tartar.

The event was also an opportunity to share Philadelphia’s off-path attractions including Philly’s quirky festivals, tax-free shopping, craft beer, and more than 3000 murals of community art.

The Giveaway

Visit Philly offered swag bags to each guest which included handy travel needs (perfect for our carry-ons) plus a fantastic prize pack to experience Philadelphia. One lucky blogger was the winner of a two-nights stay in the City of Brotherly Love.
