What’s Hot in Travel in 2014

This April, Travel Massive launched a brand new city! Brighton’s first Travel Massive debuted with four inspiring talks on What’s Hot in Travel in 2014. The event was sponsored by Natural World Safaris. Missed it? Check out some of the highlights below.

Greg Brand is the creative director and co-founder of Travizeo, the travel video company. Based in Brighton, Greg has worked all over the world shooting and editing youtube and online video campaigns for forward thinking travel brands. Specialising in production, and marketing travel video content online, has allowed Greg to create some truly unique and effective campaigns across the web. Greg believes video has the ability to inspire us like no other medium. In his presentation, he tells us why video is one of the most important ways to share and document our experiences.

Simon Murie founded SwimTrek in 2003, after spending many years organising open water swimming trips for himself and friends. In 2009 Simon swam across the River Volta in Ghana and broke the Australian record for swimming across the Gibraltar Straits. SwimTrek is the world’s first open water swimming operator providing swimming adventure holidays. They offer swimming tours in some of the planet’s most inspiring locations and have a host of exciting new destinations lined up for 2014. Simon tells us why we should step off land and explore our open waters!

Paul Holdgate recently joined CWT Digital as Head of Digital. He has a strong background in travel and joins us from his most recent role as Online Marketing Manager at TUI where he was responsible for leading online marketing activities for over 100 brands. Paul has extensive experience in areas such as UX, SEO, PPC, Email marketing, Social and Mobile eCommerce. In his presentation, Paul talks about producing travel content that inspires and gives examples of brands that are doing it right.

Julie Conway of Wildlife Travel Adventure is a Travel Writer, Photographer, and Reporter. She started her career at The Sunday Times when she won the graduate trainee scholarship. She became a staff writer working on news and was sent to report from Bosnia. After five years she joined the Daily Mail as a staff feature writer and then moved to New York to work as a freelance travel and feature writer. Here she shares her trends for 2014 including adventure, kids, and fun.
