In the Community: Meet Diana from Without a License

This month in our series In the Community we profile Diana Chang. Diana is the blogger behind Without a License and a YouTube vlogger who shares her unique experience about attending a Travel Massive meet-up for the first time in New York City.

Diana Chang without a license

So you recently got to experience your very first Travel Massive! What was that like?

I was happily surprised to find that everyone was very welcoming to me during my first meet up. I was really nervous because it was definitely something I never done before. Everyone I met was happy to introduce me to the people they knew. They all assured me that I need to keep coming back because I would make some great connections

Why do you want to attend more meet-ups?

To meet fellow travellers like myself! It’s also partially to put myself out there and learn more about whats up and coming in the travel industry but mostly I’m doing it just to meet new people and get some advice and guidance in travel and blogging.

What are the biggest challenges you face in online travel?

I am always second guessing the content I put out on my website just because I feel it might have already been reported or written about. There is so much information accessible through Google search and all these online communities but I want to be a trusted source for travel reviews. The only way to get my site out there is to make sure my voice is unique, entertaining, and most of all, honest.

Any primary objectives for 2014?

I would love to grow my audience and really get my website out there. I’d love to do a collaboration with a brand or fellow travel blogger of some sort.

Do you have any go-to travel websites or blogs?

I really like bootsnall.com just because they have a lot of great information on preparing for a round-the-world trip. I also am a big fan of www.travelgogirl.com/ because they are a great resource for female travelers and make the task of traveling alone seem less daunting.

Your blog tagline is Ready, Set, Travel. So, if you could book a ticket tomorrow, where would you go?

Morocco! The sites, the culture, and the food just seems so exotic to me. I’ve never been to any place quite like it so it would definitely be a new experience for me.
