Wrap-Up: Toronto’s July Meet-Up with Pure Michigan
Toronto Travel Massive’s July meet up took place at the trendy Drake Hotel. Pure Michigan crossed the border in order to showcase all their state has to offer for Toronto Travel Massive bloggers, writers and industry professionals.
Bloggers sampled the Drake’s delicious comfort food, including: mini cones of fries with mayo, bite-sized sliders, moorish mac ‘n’ cheese, oysters in the half shell and a plethora of fresh shrimp!

Open Mic
Our Open Mic portion of the night excited everyone to take the stage and share what is new with them. Jason Kucherawy from local tour company Toronto Tour Guys announced a special tour offer for selected free scheduled walking tours of Toronto to community members. Nomadic Meg shared her news about jetting off to New Zealand for the year. Emily Baillie introduced her upcoming PR and marketing start-up for online travel professionals. Co-organizer Melissa also announced the details of the fourth anniversary of Travel Massive meet up in August with Incredible India and Intrepid Travel and the promise of amazing prizes (we can’t wait!)

Michelle from Pure Michigan spoke briefly about the state. The event was a great opportunity for Toronto Travel Massive participants to discover how much the Michigan has to offer travellers including Detroit’s pretty gritty downtown vibe and a water wonderland heaven.
FAM Trip and Giveaways
Pure Michigan also invited the Travel Massive community to attend a FAM trip touring Michigan in early September.
Of course, Travel Massive would not be the same without giveaways. Jane from Grey Routes & Tips and Will from Go Awesome Places each won a 2-night stay for two at a Michigan hotel.
Though the event officially ended at 9 pm, Travel Massive peeps stayed on swapping stories of upcoming trips and making plans to meet again for Travel Massive’s anticipated fourth anniversary celebration next month.
