Purpose:

Olympus hosted Toronto Travel Massive for the 5th anniversary event in August 2016. Olympus was chosen to help capture the important milestone and celebration while using the opportunity to build relationships with Canadian photographers, vloggers and online content creators in the travel industry.

How:

Olympus introduced tourism professionals and influencers to their newest products specifically with the travel adventurer in mind including their just-released OM-D E-M10 Mark II only two days before the event. The Travel Massive community got a first-look at new gear hitting the travel & tech market.

The event was designed with brand and product interaction in mind:

Various hands-on “touch-and-play” product for photographers and vloggers, chance to ask questions to an on-site Olympus photographer, and discover new techniques with new Olympus technology.
Professional on-site massage therapists to help treat “DSL-Arm” syndrome.
Engaging presentation about Olympus photography and the brand’s blogger outreach initiative.
Social contest for one (1) waterproof Olympus Tough camera asking guests to share or tag their favourite travel photo using #OlympusTravelMassive (Instagram).

Social Reach / Outcome:

The event created conversation on digital media from attendees about Olympus product. It also helped foster the connection between photographers, vloggers, Instagrammers, and online content creators with the Olympus team for future collaborations. The event helped generate
