Travel Massive Dusseldorf Learns About Costa Rica with Joe Baur
Travel Massive Düsseldorf recently partnered with Factory Campus and welcomed writer Joe Baur for a travel chat about his (Mis)adventures in Costa Rica.
Joe gave us incredibly useful info about living and traveling in Costa Rica.
He even shared with us how his year-long writing ventures resulted in writing his book, “Talking Tico: (Mis)adventures of a Gringo in and Around Costa Rica”.
Travel Talks with Joe Baur
The evening began over soft drinks and chit chat where we got to know each other and welcomed a few newcomers to Travel Massive. We then learned about the struggles, benefits, and beauty of living in Central America while getting first-hand information on how to get your travels sponsored by tourism boards and tour operations!
Joe is a travel writer, filmmaker, and author. He’s also the host of the Without A Path travel podcast and has contributed to a variety of international travel publications, including BBC Travel, Yahoo! Travel, National Geographic and more, so we were stoked to have him on board and sharing some of his insights with us!
A Tour of Factory Campus
After the presentation, we had a short tour of Factory Campus, a new startup hub, coworking, and event space in Dusseldorf. Factory Campus is still in development and will be for the coming years as they build their 34,000 square meter space. Nonetheless, we were excited for the opportunity to peek into its development phase and vision.
Our Costa Rica wanderlust is at a 10 out of 10 at the moment, thanks for the great Talk Joe! And big ups to Factory Campus for hosting this month’s event.
Enough about our evening and where it took place! Check out this video from Joe’s travels below and let your own wanderlust sink in.
