Travel Hacking with Ratehub.ca

This past March, Travel Massive Toronto was treated by RateHub.ca to an educational evening at their downtown Toronto office. We got to learn all about how to utilize reward points and maximizing your credit cards so you can travel more! Who doesn’t like the sound of that?!

RateHub.ca is an online platform and leading comparison tool for reward-point-hungry Canadians. It allows consumers to find the best reward program, and “travel smarter with a better credit card”. At least 72% of Canadians carry at least one credit card that has a reward program but about 30% are still missing out on useful benefits!

Ratehub.ca’s wicked staff had decked their open concept office into a fun tropical party – complete with balloons, flamingo fairy lights, beach balls, leis, funny hats, and even an inflatable dolphin!  There were delicious refreshments being poured by SipBar (a Toronto based pop up bar service for corporate events), as well as delicious food that had been brought in from local vendors!

In their presentation we learned how we as travel influencers and travel industry professionals can utilize online comparison tools to get more bang for our buck (literally!). RateHub.ca also shared with us ways in which we can work together through their affiliate program and content partnership opportunities.

Before the night was over, the team at RateHub.ca challenged a bunch of our globetrotting community to a scavenger hunt – each community member was given a mini passport booklet with questions about various loyalty programs and reward credit cards.

Congrats to all the winners. Rain from Jauntin’ walked away with the grand prize of a $500 prepaid credit card! Other winners included Ryan from Out with Ryan, Nicola from Anew Traveller, Laura from Travelful Life, Dominic from Canada Points Guy, and Yashy from Baby and Life – they each won a $100 prepaid credit card!
