Toronto’s First Holiday Party with Delta Hotel, Canada’s Newest Flagship

Toronto Travel Massive celebrated it’s very first holiday party this month complete with all the trimmings – Christmas lights, sparkly trees, hot chocolate and lots of warm company.

Just one week old, Delta Toronto Hotel hosted us in their brand new Canadian flagship for the Delta Hotels Company. It’s the last Canadian-owned and operated hotel company in Canada and we couldn’t have been more proud to get a sneak peek of a local brand.

Delta is a company that is known for doing things differently and each property is unique to their community. They purchased 567 pillows autographed by our Canadian Olympic Athletes, with 100% of the funds going to support Canadian sports and talent. The first guest in each hotel room will get to take home their own signed pillow!

The Toronto Delta Hotel also embraces the new SOCO neighbourhood. Toronto’s newest South Core financial district is a booming neighbourhood filled with fun hip dining and entertainment options. Toronto Delta features the Char No. 5 Whisky Bar and the SOCO Kitchen and Bar. So our venue this month was extraordinary and so were the amazing treats prepared for us. There were several catered stations in our cozy space which included these:

We even had our very own outdoor patio with blankets to enjoy a starry night in Toronto’s downtown core and the Delta hotel was kind enough to give us each a pair of warm wool gloves on check-in to keep us warm on the patio!

This month we were in for a treat as not only were we guests of this amazing new hotel but we also got to listen to one of our own?Ayngelina from Bacon is Magic give us her tips on how to be better storytellers, finding your voice and how brands can work with online content producers.

For me there is nothing more awesome than hearing a fellow travel writer sharing their journey with us and remind us that “the internet is a big place – your followers are out there!” This is what Toronto Travel Massive is to me – a place to learn and share the business of blogging and travel writing from people of all walks of life who are at varying levels in their travel writing careers. Some of us are hobby bloggers, others professional writers and freelancers but we all share one amazing thing: a passion for travel!

The best Travel Massive events are the ones when we can all share travel blogging stories, tips while mingling with brand reps and this month’s holiday themed party was the best way for our Toronto community to enjoy some holiday cheer, do a little networking and learn something new!
