Travel Massive Debut Event in Chiang Mai, Thailand
Travel Massive launched its very first event in the digital nomad capital of Chiang Mai, Thailand this month. Eleven professionals in the travel and tech industry met up to connect, network and share a drink at Vintage Park, a hip rooftop hangout in the vibrant Old City near the world famous Night Bazaar. The outdoor resto-bar is popular with locals but on this night a few farang got the party started.
We shared drinks with Travel Massive newcomers Justin Lancy from Veritrope and Traveler Tech, a freelance writer and contributor to travel magazines like Travel + Leisure, and AFAR.
Other attendees included iStock Photographer Katie May Boyle and her writer-husband Ryan who left San Francisco for Chiang Mai with their 9-year old dog; Taka, an app developer from Montreal and Barry Wolfenden, a Japanese translator from Northern Canada.
Hannah and Adam from Getting Stamped have been on a RTW since 2013, and Travel Dave (far right) who retired from too much partying in Amsterdam to now finding calm in Chiang Mai.
Freelance Photographer Anthony Bennett from the UK with Helen Suk from Not Without My Passport and our Toronto chapter who is now exploring South East Asia.
Helen with Cristina from Chasing Travel, Toronto Travel Massive and our Global Team.
Massive thanks to everyone who came out to our pop-up event!
If you’re living in Chiang Mai and would like to get involved, our Chiang Mai chapter is looking for event organizers! Get in touch on the Chiang Mai chapter page.
