Growing our platform. New features and roadmap.

Can you believe that it’s been only 120 days since we launched Travel Massive’s community platform to connect our growing network around the world?

So we thought we’d pause for a moment and share some interesting facts about how we’ve grown in the past three months since launch.

Between January and May 2015:

5,821 members have signed up (that’s 50 people a day)
356 company profiles have been created
10,477 connections have been created between members

We are so excited to see new connections being made on the platform between chapter members around the world every day. It’s amazing to see first hand the impact that we can make in travel with the open network we’ve created.

New platform features.

We’ve also been busy working on some new features, which were released last week. Here’s a run down of the fun stuff.

Messaging (hello!)

You asked for it, we built it. You can now message other members who follow you back via the platform. You can reply to messages directly from your email to keep the conversation in your inbox.

A new home page.

We’ve redesigned the home page with a new full screen video background so we can showcase the video production talent from our community.

To kick things off, we’re screening highlights from Travel Massive events in Brighton, Rome, and Cape Town. A huge thanks to Greg Brand, Beth May and the folks in Cape Town for sharing. If you have any ideas for cool videos we can show in this format please get in contact with us.

Community Feed.

You can now see a what’s happening in real-time in our network via the community feed on the home page. The feed displays who’s just joined the community, recent event signups and more.

Content Feeds.

We’ve integrated blog content with profiles, so when you visit a member, company, or chapter you’ll see any relevant content from the blog. If you have news about your chapter to contribute, please let us know so we can include it!

What next? The community roadmap.

Right now we’re working on some really cool features that we’ll be sharing with the community soon, including network updates, improved search, and more ways to connect. We are also pushing out incremental improvements every day, so please take time to give us feedback about what you like (and don’t like) so we can make our platform even more useful for the community.

We’re looking for developers (who isn’t!?)
