Leader of the Pack: Sachin Bansal of Delhi Travel Massive

This month in our Leader of the Pack series we meet Sachin Bansal, Chief Explorer and entrepreneur at India City Walks and Delhi Walks as well as Travel Massive Chapter co-Leader for Delhi Travel Massive.

How did you first get involved with Travel Massive and why was it important for you?

I got involved just this year as a chapter leader for Delhi-NCR & Golden Triangle route including Agra and Jaipur. I have attended many meet-ups and tried starting my own, but I came across Travel Massive. I realized this is what Delhi needed most – an established platform growing exponentially that connects and promotes our travel industry not just locally but globally.

What motivates you to be part of Travel Massive?

People! It’s connecting and meeting like-minded people. I am also motivated to help improve the industry by bridging the gap between the travel entrepreneur and the host of our event.

What makes your city a great place for Travel Massive meet-ups?

Delhi and the region is a melange of beautiful monuments and engaging history. Food and urban youth is a great way to connect with the city.

What kinds of travel insiders attend your events?

Delhi is an emerging destination for start-ups. The focus is online travel and connecting entrepreneurs to influencers and experts who can help launch their innovations. That’s where Travel Massive plays a big role in Delhi. We have influencers who are travel bloggers, food writers, travel agents, destination marketers and others able to help one another take their ideas to the next level.

What’s most unique about your meet-ups?

We run contests on Twitter to give away really cool travel prizes.

What is your best advice to a newcomer who wants to attend a Travel Massive event for the first time?

Meet, eat, drink and most importantly talk. Share your passion and connect to make the world a better place.

Why should more people travel to Delhi?

People in Delhi want to positively change how the world perceives our rich country. We relaunched Travel Massive with intent of showcasing Delhi to world citizens in the best way possible. We hope more people – travellers and industry alike will see the potential that is here!
