All Aboard: Stockholm Travel Massive on a Ship

Last month was one of Travel Massive’s most unique events yet! About 40 travel writers, bloggers, marketers, PR, and travel industry insiders got to “get away” for lunch aboard a new cruise ship with MSC Cruises. The MSC Sinfonia was docked in Stockholm’s Frihamnen port exclusively for the Stockholm Travel Massive community.

The cool travel meet-up started off as a mix n’ mingle over snacks and cappuccinos then cocktails and wine to celebrate the ship’s new launch! We got the entire experience, boarding with our passports and IDs in hand.

National Geographic creative photographer and Travel Massive co-organizer Lola Akinmade Åkerström gave a short 10 minute presentation on how to take better travel photographs during media organized trips.

One of the tips was not shooting to much close-ups when taking photos of food but try to take photos in its natural environment. Another was not shooting to much selfies but showing what you see through the camera lens instead – KatarinaWohlfart.com

MSC Cruises also gave a short presentation and introduction to their brand and their current cruising schedules and opportunities.

The community was treated to a complimentary full buffet lunch onboard to sample the ship’s cuisine and Italian delicacies. After lunch, a few guests stayed behind to take a tour of the ship, its decks, fitness room, and spas.
