[Launch Event] Mumbai Travel Massive

Monday evening, even the monsoons stepped aside for over 50 travel insiders attending the launch of Mumbai Travel Massive.

Focusing on Digital Marketing we had several speakers lined up for the evening. Akaanksha Patel of Social Samosa presented her insights into social media and the way it is being used for travel planning and marketing inspiring audiences to get creative with their digital marketing efforts.

Nikhil Gonsalves of Samsonite South Asia talked about his experiences with the High Sierra #TakeBackMondays campaign and left bloggers and influencers with some interesting tips on pitching to brands.

Zahid Bari of G Adventures India presented the idea behind the company and their success story with the #GrabYourDream campaign.

Jeffrey Ellis of the U.S. Consulate Mumbai talked about their initiatives to inspire more Indians to visit the US with #DekhoAmerica.

Giving the floor to local travel startups as a community initiative, we also had Ashpi Gupta of Happy Tripping and Tejas Parulekar of Saffron Stays talking about their endeavors and insights into digital marketing.

Our venue sponsor Tonic Mumbai pulled out all the stops with an excellent ambiance, delectable starters (that were widely appreciated) and great offers on alcohol for the attendees. Big thanks to Ruchir of Tonic Mumbai for sharing our enthusiasm and being so hospitable!

Our giveaway partner Airbnb India delighted attendees with an engaging Twitter contest won by Anisha Bangera and a surprise runner up – Shruti Sutwala.

The event was filled with some really exciting profiles of travel industry insiders – marketing, PR and communications professionals, travel startups, entrepreneurs, bloggers and influencers. Everyone got into the spirit of Travel Massive right away, networking and discussing ideas right at the onset! We’ve started something big on #TravelMassiveMumbai – we even trended on Twitter!
