German Tradition in Toronto
This month, our friends at German National Tourist Office and Visit Berlin brought a little taste of Germany all the way to Canada! The Travel Massive community in Toronto were given the opportunity to #JoinGermanTradition, celebrate German culture, discover Berlin with #visitBerlin and even learn a few new things about this unique destination.

We kicked things off with our traditional open mic, allowing tourism professionals, travel startups and insiders a chance to introduce themselves.

Fun and engaging presentations by our friends and longtime Travel Massive supporters German National Tourist Office – Canada and visitBerlin captivated the community, taking the conversation about German culture both online and offline.
After a very German greeting with beer and “Prost”, Antje and Kirsten (who flew in all the way from Los Angeles) shared local insight into what makes their native country so rich and exciting.

Want a taste of what Germany has to offer? How about wild boar bratwurst with currywurst fries? Or maybe Oktoberfest lager?

And if those tasty dishes weren’t enough, our food-loving German hosts sent one lucky winner home with a German food basket complete with dumplings and Ritter Sport chocolate to help give ’em that extra layer of warmth for the wintertime!
Congrats to Margarita Ibbott and her winning tweet:
