[Photos] Durban’s August Event

Last month, Durban Travel Massive chapter held its second official Travel Massive meetup. Our first meetup was co-hosted by the guys from the Cape Town chapter at this years Tourism Indaba, making our second gathering the first fully fledge Durban event.

The Happy Hippo Backpackers kindly offered to host us on their stunning roof top venue. Located in the heart of Durban with a relaxed atmosphere it was the ideal place to welcome more Durban tourism insiders to the Travel Massive community.

With Durban having had very little exposure to the Travel Massive community, we decided to use the meeting as an opportunity to introduce everyone to the Travel Massive concept and discuss how to use the platform to grow and develop our own Durban travel community.

Chapter leader Stuart Parker led the discussion on Travel Massive followed by a brief chat from Fred Felton who offered tips on building online social audiences. After the discussions the group was entertained by the team from Vision in Motion with a short interactive drumming session. The rest of the evening was spent socialising and making contact with other members of the Durban tourism industry.

The event was well received by everyone who attended and we looking forward to hosting our next Travel Massive event in October.
