What makes your chapter unique?

The energy and friendliness of the chapter is amazing. Although I’m an extrovert, I typically don’t love meetups because they feel so forced. At Toronto Travel Massive, it feels like a group of really good friends – more like a house party.

Even if it is your first time!

Tell us about your chapter leaders.

Wow! The chapter leaders really represent the feeling of the meet ups: friendly, inviting, fun, and passionate. Each of Cristina, Will, Sharon, Melissa, Mariellen, and Alicia are extremely giving of their time and make the culture what it is.

What is your most memorable event in this chapter?

The 5th birthday Bash was awesome. The combination of the celebration, the Chill Ice House and the Game of Thrones theme in ice sculptures. Epic!

What was the last event about? 

The last event was held at the Mill Street Brewery in the heart to Toronto’s distillery district. The featured themes were about #visitBerlin and #JoinGermanTradition hosted by the German National Tourist Office and visitBerlin – with awesome presentations. I want to go now!

Deb and Dave from theplanetD have been awesome at the events. They take the time to talk to every single person who wants to meet them – from people just thinking about starting to blog to other full-time bloggers. As owners of one of the most successful blogs in the world, they certainly don’t need to do this, but this behaviour is exactly the warm, friendly and helpful feel of the entire chapter.
