ITB’s Massive Open Online Course

If you haven’t heard about ITB Berlin, it’s time to get acquainted! Held on March 9th – 13th in Berlin, Germany, ITB is the world’s leading travel trade show. In support of this wonderful event, we’d like to share with you ITB’s new free Massive Open Online Course. Here’s a little bit more information to inspire you!

Launch free online course on “Social Media in Tourism”

With its multi-session, free Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on social media in tourism, which is due to take place for the first time, the ITB Academy will be providing tourism professionals and students with the latest information and updating their social media knowledge.

Who should take this course?

The course “Social Media in Tourism” is for all tourism industry stakeholders: from start-ups to large international corporations and –last but not least- for young people who intend to embark into a professional career in the travel industry.

Participants do not require any preliminary knowledge, since the modules build upon one another sequentially.

Which topics will be covered?

The educational objectives consist of different components of the most relevant social media issues. People who complete the course should be able to understand developments in social media as well as determine how to make the best of them.

Participants learn fundamental information about the Internet and social media and receive an overview of the different platforms and important tips about proper social media conduct. Storytelling, social commerce and potential legal obstacles will also be addressed.

Duration:

The course can be taken in the space of time from the 1 of October 2015 to 1 of March 2016.
