Kristine is the co-founder and CMO at Trazy, and it a part of our Travel Massive Seoul chapter. Trazy.com (a combined word for Travel + Crazy), is for travellers looking to explore and book the best things to do in Korea.

What inspired you to create this startup?

The co-founder Jessie and I came up with Trazy for a simple reason: the world still lacks a fine online travel guide where travelers can get the most up-to-date travel information about where to visit and what to do. More specifically speaking, there is a lack of content about visiting Korea. We decided that would create an online travel guide ourselves, and then Trazy was founded.

How did you build your startup?

We first started out as a wiki travel guide where any traveler or local person could update the latest information about travel destinations in Korea, but in the process we also realized that people also wanted an easier booking experience and thus came our final concept of having ‘the most up-to-date travel information & booking platform’.

What makes your startup different from other similar startups out there?

In Korea it is still very difficult for a foreign traveler to find the right travel information online. Due to language barriers and lack of payment support, it is not an easy task. There are personal travel blogs, Trip Advisor tips, and Lonely Planet guides, but these aren’t updated frequently enough for foreign travelers to figure out what they can do as a traveler in Korea. This gap has offered us a great amount of opportunity to offer a program similar to a one-stop experience for travelers to not only discover and explore things to do, but to instantly book at a discounted price.

How is your startup changing the future of the industry or helping to make travel better?

Trazy is all about helping travelers find the most up-to-date travel information on where to visit and what to do. I think that finding out what to do is as essential as finding the place to stay. By making the process from finding the right place to booking more convenient, I believe we’re making the traveling experience that much easier.
