Travel Massive LIVE is a series of interactive, virtual events that brings the travel industry together in the online space. From Twitter chats, to podcasts, and insightful webinars #TravelMassive LIVE aims to engage and empower.

Meet, share, and connect wherever you are around the world.

What makes the chapter unique?

Well there is the obvious, the Travel Massive LIVE chapter is not just any chapter, but an online and interactive way to get in touch with the travel community. So far our Twitter chats have been a huge success which are not only to engage and interact with the online community, but an awesome way for our community members to win some awesome prizes.

Take Daniel Clarke of Dan Flying Solo for example. Daniel won an Urban Adventure of his choice on behalf of Intrepid Travel during the last Twitter chat #TMResponsibleTourism.

Who are the chapter leaders?

Ian C is the founder of Travel Massive. In 2008, he sold everything he owned and packed his life into a suitcase. He bought a one way ticket out of the small island of Tasmania where he grew up, and it was this movement that changed his life. After some wild adventures, Ian moved to Sydney and started what is now #travelmassive through the simple act of connecting change makers in the travel industry to learn and share ideas at free events.

Cristina C is also the Travel Massive chapter leader of Toronto and is a part of the global team. Cristina is a traveller, blogger and NGO volunteer. She quit her job in TV journalism to travel, volunteer and write about it. Today Cristina is running all the Twitter chats online for our community to become more engaged in the future of tourism.

What were the focuses of the Travel Massive LIVE Twitter chats so far?

Each month we get quite specific. We focus on a theme for the month and try to address all the possible questions and concerns that arise from the conversations throughout the month. Nearing the end of the month, the Twitter chat is held and our community members come together to answer these heated questions that were gathered through the month of casual conversation online. Here are just a few focused hashtags we’ve discussed in the past:
