Who is your startup for?

We are adressing leisure and business travelers that want, at destination, to book an Uber car, book their Airbnb room, get directions with Google Maps, share their trip on Facebook in real time, or use their business sales app. Today, they are stuck constantly looking for WiFi because data roaming is too expensive.

What inspired you to create this startup?

I’ve been managing IT projects in more than 20 countries across the world and my company has paid huge roaming bills. I decided then to provide an easy, affordable and global way for travelers to stay connected.

The beauty of our SIM technology embedded in a slim Pocket WiFi is that it adapts to local carrier costs as you move from country to country.

What makes your startup different from other similar startups out there?

Our unique technology selects automatically the cheapest network around you. You can then save up to 90% off your roaming bill compared to your existing mobile operator. Another key differentiator is our global coverage in 150 countries.

How did you get your startup off the ground and gaining traction?

We’ve started selling to individuals, startups and SME’s through our website. We are now also addressing corporations and travel agencies that can offer us good volumes.

Travel Massive is about empowering change in travel. How is your startup changing the future of the industry or helping to make travel better?

The future of travel is about seamless and one of a kind experiences. Travelers prefer to stay connected abroad similarly to at home in order to make their travel easier.

Our vision is that global connectivity is key for any traveler to be productive, to connect with locals and to share with colleagues, friends and family. Our mission is to provide mobile internet across the world worry-free.

Do you have any tips for new entrepreneurs who want to create a successful startup?

  • Be radical.
  • Make choices.
  • Don’t loose time.
  • Stay focus.
  • At first, do things that don’t scale.
  • When you’ll need to scale, it means you will have a market fit and a good problem to solve!

As a startup, what benefits have you seen from being a part of Travel Massive meetups?

Travel Massive meetups are a great opportunity to meet with local travel professionals like in Marseille, France. Their community members are unique and cross-border: from active travel bloggers to regional markets like Asia or Greece connected with Marseille. It gives us the keys and insights to drive innovation in travel.
