Travel Massive Berlin meets Digital Nomads

Last month, Travel Massive Berlin and DNX communities came together to mingle and talk about travel and nomadic lifestyles. 

The evening started with a short introduction about Travel Massive and DNX, followed by two inspiring presentations and drinks in the vibrant Generator Hostel Berlin Mitte.

DNX Global is an organisation founded by Felicia Hargarten and Marcus Meurer, which aim to connect and support digital nomads and online entrepreneurs through events. Their vision is that more and more people live their life free and self-determined, connecting with like-minded people, sharing their knowledge and growing their businesses. They strongly believe that meeting other cultures makes us personally richer and continues to make the world a better place.

Anna and Tom Alboth from The Family Without Borders shared “10 lessons of life in 10 countries – why is it worth to be a parent of kids who travel?“, a summary of the last 5 years on the road with 2 young daughters. They took us for a virtual tour around the world, from Georgia to Fiji, and showed that we are all humans (most of the time kind and hospitable), regardless of the location we live in and languages we speak. Hania and Mila sang a song in Fijan, which instantly won over the hearts of all the attendees.

Afterwards, Thomas Jakel, a serial (social-) entrepreneur revealed a few tips on “How to run and build three businesses while traveling the world” (without having a nervous break down). Whether he was cycling from Germany to India or hitchhiking from Berlin through the wild east to Pakistan, Thomas managed to not only stay in business, but to start new projects on the side.

During the event, a few lucky event’s participants won books written by Felicia Hargarten and a ticket to the DNX conference in Berlin.

After the presentations, drinks and networking continued in the hip yard of the Generator Hostel.
