NYC Travel Massive Visits the Czech Republic

Last week, New York City Travel Massive celebrated summer travel with a special event hosted by Czech Tourism. 

Nearly 100 travel industry insiders met at the stunning Bohemian National Hall in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

There, they were taken on an entertaining and informative tour of Czech culture starting with a short stop motion film by Czech artist Jan Svankmajer, followed by live Czech art and music on the second floor and a bit of Czech history on the third floor in the Antonin Dvorak room. Of course, Czech immersion isn’t complete without some beer, wine, and food.

Guests were greeted by the bar serving classic Czech Pilsner as well as a tasting table of several Czech wines by Vino Z Czech on the fourth floor. We had a very special buffet dinner provided by brand new Bohemian Spirit Restaurant. Guests indulged while the director of Czech Tourism Jiri Duzar summarized the evening’s experience and presented more about his beautiful country and why it’s a desirable destination for Americans today.

Throughout the event, attendees were encouraged to answer trivia questions about Czech culture in order to win prizes as well as share with @CzechTourism why they wanted to #VisitCZ on Twitter and Instagram for a chance to win a trip to do just that.

We had three happy winners from the evening’s fun contests.

One of our most interactive and culturally rich events to date, we’re thrilled with the attendance, content shared, contacts made, and Czech beer consumed.
