10 Ways to Get the Most Out of the Travel Massive Platform

There’s tons of new features on the Travel Massive platform that we’re excited to share with you.

We’ve been updating you constantly on Facebook and Twitter, but now it’s time to show you 10 awesome ways to get the most out of using the Travel Massive Platform!

1. Improve your craft with our tips archive

This is where you’ll find insider tips from tourism experts in our community.

Learn how to use Pinterest for business, be a professional travel blogger, how to work with travel companies or vlogging tips for beginners. You can also get useful tips on how brands can leverage Snapchat, unique business card ideas, more effective strategies for digital marketing or building your own startup.

2. Find or post awesome jobs on our job board

This is where you’ll find some great opportunities for Travel Massive members, by Travel Massive members. Expect to find not only jobs but other opportunities including partnerships and affiliates, travel blogging opportunities,  internships and volunteering gigs and much more.

3. Join in on travel discussion boards

Whether you’re interested in chatting about particular countries, responsible tourism or any other travel industry related topics, Travel Massive Forum is the place to be. You can also use the board for more than just tips and advice, for example, if you’re travelling to another Travel Massive city and looking to connect with other community members, write a message on the board!

4. Search for events in your area

We don’t just send you e-mail reminders about your chapter’s events, we also have an entire page on the website dedicated to showing you all the information you’ll need to attend one of our many events across the world. So, the next time you’re planning a trip outside of your city, be sure to check which Travel Massive chapters are hosting events around your travel destination.

5. If you’re a blogger planning a trip, use the Companies tab to search for travel brands

You might find some brands you’d like to work with such as a hostel, local tour guide, or cool new app. You can filter by country or industry sector. Connect directly by sending them a message and introducing yourself.

6. Connect with our community leaders

Besides being tourism experts, our community leaders in each city are also local experts. They are locals who live, eat, and play there so they will have insider knowledge for exploring. Don’t be afraid to send them a direct message, ask for tips, or perhaps request a coffee date while you’re in town. They are always eager to meet fellow travellers. Use the speech bubble on the chapter page to “message chapter leaders”.

7. Find local communities wherever you are travelling to

Our map of cities is a handy way to easily and quickly locate Travel Massive communities around the world. Click the city name from the map. It will take you to the chapter page where you will find community members in that city. Follow members to send direct messages to one another.

8. Follow travel companies for discounts

Some tourism brands give Travel Massive members cool travel perks or special discounts as a thank you for following them, like KnowRoaming.

9. Create a free brand profile

Once you sign up for a personal profile you can set up a (free) brand profile for your company. You’ll be listed among our community of travel companies which also helps travellers and other members find you. From your menu on the top right corner, select “add company profile“.

10. Engage with your followers using travel perks or discounts

Once you have set up your brand profile, you can add special offers for members who follow your company in the “message for followers” box (in edit mode in your brand profile).
