Travel Massive Barcelona Sees Sailing Tours Ahead

Let’s get to know a little bit more about our Travel Massive Barcelona and what they’ve got planned over the next couple years.

Meet Matt Kiefer, the Travel Massive Barcelona chapter leader and the guy behind hostelgeeks.com. Matt helps travelers to find stunning hostels all over the world. He also helps to build and better the Barcelona Travel Massive chapter so that you have an awesome time networking at all the events.

Barcelona started their Travel Massive chapter in September of 2015 and have since then hosted their launch event, attended the B-Travel Show and organized other networking events within the city.

We asked Matt a few questions to give you a little more insight as to what’s going on in Barcelona, here you go!

Tell us about your chapter leaders.

  • Matt Kiefer: Media and Entrepreneur
  • Edwina D: Food obsessed, travel sized German. She blogs about her adventures around the globe. Ex-Marketing Director of a travel tech company, now independent marketing strategist.
  • Dalia Lourenço: Video travel blogger focused on sociable travel. Her videos share the sights and sounds as well as the people that make destinations memorable.

What happened at the last event?

We hosted a networking event at a brewery, embarked on a small tour around the brewery, and then dove into opportunities for networking in order to meet people from the travel industry.

One of Brewery’s ambassadors was there to show us around, comment on the beers being tasted, share the Edge Brewing story, and tell us about craft beer in Barcelona more specifically. Those who were interested, were able to visit the brewery space to talk in more detail about the brewing process, ingredients and other secrets of making great beers.

We also hosted special guests from an international group from Leeds Beckett University, who’s were in Barcelona to run a social impact assessment of tourism in some of the fragile parts of our city.

This was our first event so we’re looking forward to planning some more exciting events to come!
