D.C. Celebrates U.S. National Parks 100th Anniversary
In celebration of the U.S. National Parks Service 100th anniversary, DMO Brand USA hosted a huge networking event in partner with Travel Massive Washington.
The evening brought together like-minded organizations, including the U.S. National Park Service, Adventure Travel Trade Association, and Travel Massive.
We hosted a discussion focused on Tourism: Promoting and Protecting the National Parks.
There were 3 panelists who joined us:
- Robin Nixon, Chief of Partnerships for the National Mall and Memorial Parks
- Russell Walters, North America Strategic Director, ATTA
- Aaron Wodin-Schwartz, Director, Public Policy at Brand USA
Beer, wine and light snacks were served and outdoors-themed prizes were given away through a Twitter raffle using the hashtags #TravelMassiveDC, #OutdoorsUSA and #adventureconnect.
Following the event, some lucky attendees had the opportunity to visit the Washington Monument.
In order to properly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the U.S. National Parks Service, we put together 100 Reasons to Love the National Parks to share with our networking attendees. We’re also excited share with you just a few of the wonderful reasons we love our National Parks.
