Learn All About Travel Massive Patra and Western Greece

We’ve already told you all about our Patra and Western Greece chapter leader, but have you heard about what is going on in Patra and Western Greece Travel Massive?

Alexandra Lavida is here to let you in on a few secrets about what she hopes to achieve in the chapter.

Alexandra is currently working for Athens and Crete Urban Adventures and in the destination development field. She is often called ‘fish girl’ by friends because she loves diving and the deep blue sea. She lost most of her hearing from a very early age, and her motto is lead, follow or get out of my way.

Are you ready to hear a little more about Patra and Western Greece Travel Massive now?

What makes your chapter unique?

Our chapter Patra/Western Greece is unique because it’s a cluster of diverse regions that have no autonomy alone but together they can work brilliant wonders. Is it difficult? Yes, very. Is it impossible? No, everything is possible when you have people that care and who want their city/region to stand out as a fantastic tourism destination.

Tell us about your chapter leaders

Panos Zikos is our other chapter leader. He is from Patra, and is the owner and business development manager of Brilliant Maritime Ltd, a startup company in yachting. Panos is also an instructor in water sports, excels in winter and extreme sports and loves to travel. His favorite destinations are snowy mountains, where he gets to unleash his passion for snowboarding. He is a perfectionist, but also as cool as is gets.

He is our silent force.

What is your most memorable event in this chapter so far?

Our first one. I don’t know how this is possible but we had one major event, and a series of smaller ones following right after. I think because of our collaboration with the upcoming Nostos Expo which is promoting alternative tourism, and of course our presence in Mykonos which is totally luxury, professionals from the private and public tourism sector are seeking us, and want to know what we are all about.

What happened at the last event?

Our last event was interesting. We had to break it into three separate locations and it worked out great. Our first location was at the Rio- Antirio bridge, where Mr. Yannis Freris, the communications Director, spoke to us about the importance of the bridge and it’s role in the everyday lives of the residents from three and four different regions.

Our major sponsors were Hotel Nafpaktos, Hotel Regina Nafpaktos, Centro Porto and Gefyra.

If you could highlight 3 awesome people in your chapter, who would they be?

I would say all people in our chapter are unique. Each and everyone is trying hard to succeed in a very competitive field, while living and working in Greece. It is always a pleasure to see that even young travellers are working hard and efficiently to the top of the tourism sector.

List 3 cool themed meet ups you could see this chapter hosting.

It’s a surprise, stay tuned. Although…

I would love to see a collaboration event from all Greek Chapters.

Our latest mini unofficial event was held at Treanto Hotel , a new family owned business and Travel Massive member. This is where our Vice Mayor and Mr. Ioannis Bras, one of the three Travel Massive chapter leader’s in Crete, discussed a collaboration between Crete and Western Greece in the alternative tourism field.
