Travel Massive Düsseldorf Goes On An Altbier-Safari

While many chapters are busy planning their next networking event, Travel Massive Düsseldorf’s drinking beer and networking in the old town stopping at every brewery along the way.

A huge thank you goes out to Düsseldorf Marketing & Tourismus GmbH and Altbier-Safari Düsseldorf for hosting such an incredible evening.

The event kicked off right away as we all met in the center of town and headed to our first brewery of the evening, Kürzer. While sometimes getting to know new faces isn’t the easiest thing to do, we were all one beer in after the first 15 minutes and ready for some fun and networking. There’s no shy faces here!

There was a small group of 10 industry professionals who joined us, many travel bloggers and a couple other industry professionals from places like Trivago and Volunteer World.

We visited a few more breweries throughout the evening including Brauerei Schumacher, Füchschen, Uerige and Brauerei zum Schlüssel. Five beers and breweries later, the grand prize social media contest had begun. Travel Massive members were invited to announce their favorite beer of the night on social media using the hashtag #altbiersafari.

The winner of the night was Jessica Niedergesäß from Yummy Travel.

Thank you again to Düsseldorf Marketing & Tourismus for providing such a wonderful prize package. The event not only served as a networking opportunity for travel industry professionals, but I believe it really inspired some of us to continue to explore our own backyards.
