Gary Wins Trip to Switzerland
After an awesome Travel Massive San Francisco event hosted by Swissnex, travel journalist Gary Singh headed on his way to Switzerland to explore the 100th anniversary of Dada.

Stride Travel Hires First Employee Through Travel Massive
Stride Travel hired their full-time time employee, Samantha Scott, after meeting her at a Travel Massive event last year. Samantha had been attending Travel Massive events looking to switch careers so it was a positive turning point for her as well! She started as an intern with Stride. After a stellar performance, they hired her full-time and she now works as their Content Coordinator and Manager of their Destination Expert Network.

Grabr Takes the Travel Massive Stage in São Paulo
On July 12th, São Paulo Travel Massive and Grabr came together at the Campus São Paulo, a space by Google, which is already one of the “Campus’” spaces with the most members in the world! São Paulo Travel Massive hosted a special event for all their members sponsored by the San Francisco-based shopping and travel startup, Grabr!

Letishia Wins Atlantic Beach Hotel Luncheon at #WomenInTourism Event
Letishia had attended an event hosted by Travel Massive Africa and the Department of Tourism to honor #WomenInTourism. She was inspired by all the hardworking and passionate women in attendance and also ended up walking away with a luncheon hosted at the Atlantic Beach Hotel.

Travel Massive South Africa Hosts The Ultimate Road Trip
In June 2016, the Johannesburg Chapter set out on a 16-day Road Trip around South Africa. It was their hope to promote Travel Massive and encourage more people to join them, in order to instigate change in travel. The group consisted of bloggers, writers, photographers, videographers and product developers from the Travel Massive community.

Czech Tourism Hosts a 3 City Events Campaign
During the summer, Czech Tourism joined Travel Massive Toronto, NYC and Miami chapters in celebrating the Czech Republic. There were 3 trips to the Czech Republic given away, including $1,000 in spending money while the winners visited the Czech Republic. To top it all off, they ended the year with an Instagrammers campaign in Prague and surrounding destinations.

Crete Celebrates their #4Seasons on a Road Trip Across the Island
In May 2016 Crete Travel Massive hosted a 10-day road trip for two reasons: to spread the word about their new chapter and to promote Crete as a 4-season destination. Chapter leader Rebecca Skevaki also shared a couple in depth reviews on how a Travel Massive road trip like this can positively impact a tourism destination like Crete.

Maiku and Ryan Win a Trip to Taiwan The Same Day
Last September, Travel Massive Toronto was hosted by Taiwan Tourism for a cocktail reception to explore why this destination was so popular in 2016. Courtesy of EVA Airways and Taiwan Tourism, Maiku Wong and Ryan Woods walked off to the airport in a matter of minutes with nothing but their backpacks and passport in hand. They were chauffeured in style by limousine to the airport and, in just a matter of hours, they found themselves in a 5-star hotel in Taipei.
