Travel Massive Prague launched Travel Massive Academy, Take a Look

Travel Massive Prague hosted a three-part academy for travel professionals in the community interested in learning about the effective use of social media for business, and we’re sharing the results.

A huge thank you goes out to Prague chapter leaders Lenka Nemcova and Petr Klymec for organizing these academy events in partnership with Socialsharks.

The use of social media in corporate communications is an essential part of every business. The speed and accessibility that social networks have around the world, provides a huge asset to businesses. This is not only an important tool to help build brand awareness, but to build a passionate community as well.

The three-part Travel Massive Academy was hosted at the Socialsharks office in Prague and followed a similar suit each evening. The theoretical context would be presented first, followed by a practical example and a special guest that has been invited from our Travel Massive Prague community. The evening would wrap up after a round of discussions and the opportunity to network, grab a drink and have a bite to eat.

Travel Massive Academy Part 1

Part 1 of the Travel Massive Academy launched on November 15, 2016. There were quite a few different travel professionals in attendance include hotel owners, travel agencies and tour guides. Throughout the evening the group discussed the instruments of social media, particular and specific examples for an optimal solution, and frequent mistakes of Facebook users.

Jan Dobrovsky from HBO was the speaker for the evening who focused on talking about tricks and tips from his own point of view for better efficiency of using the social media.

A highlighted point to mention about the evening was the final discussion, it was great. The participants had many questions for our speakers, and different problems were discussed.

Travel Massive Academy Part 2

The second part of the Travel Massive Academy with Socialsharks was held on November 22, 2016. A similar audience was in attendance including hotel managers, tour operators, and social media agencies. This discussion became even more specific as the group talked about the Facebook instruments, tools, tips, and tricks, as well as Instagram for business (and finding influencers).

During Part 2 of the academy, there were 4 qualified speakers who came to present:

  • Petr Pluhacek – Customer Service Director of Socialsharks
  • Ondrej Duffek – Instagram Master at PR Kluk
  • Hynek Hampl – Freelancer and Instagram Master
  • Michal Rolcik – Event Producer and Facebook master

The event was great and even more successful than the first. The topic was well chosen as the attendees were deeply interested in the Instagram and Facebook case studies. The speakers were variable and that gave the public a wide range of different inspiration.

Travel Massive Academy Part 3

The third part of the Travel Massive Academy with Socialsharks was held on November 29, 2016. The topic discussed was video in travel as the group investigated the following sub-questions:

  • What is a YouTube channel?
  • What is a Vlogger?
  • How can we take advantage of cooperations with Vloggers?
  • What kinds of Vlogger cooperation exist?
  • What makes current popular YouTube videos so successful?

There were two guest speakers for the evening academy, Kristýna Szkanderová, Social Media Director of Socialsharks and Veronika Subrtova, Freelancer and Vlogger. This was the last event of the whole cycle. Both presentations were great and the atmosphere was really relaxed and friendly. The discussion was shorter this time, but this allowed the group to present their own social media accounts and provided them tailor made advice which turned out to be an excellent success.
