Travel Massive LA’s Heather Wins Trip to Seoul

Remember when we told you we were all jealous of Heather Olson from HauteTravelGirl who won two tickets to Seoul? She’s here to tell her side of the story!

If you look back on our wrap-up from the Travel Massive LA and Singapore Airlines’ event, you might recognize that we said this:

We are all jealous of the night’s big winner, Heather Olson from HauteTravelGirl. Her tweets and photos leading up to the event and during the night of, were stellar enough to win her two tickets on Singapore Airlines’ brand new route from LAX to Seoul, and a 4-star hotel stay (hey Heather, take me with you?)

Well, instead of convincing her to take us with her, we’ve asked her to tell her story about how the event took place in her eyes.

 
“The October Travel Massive meetup was close enough for me to walk to but I almost didn’t go. I had a long day at work and just wanted to stay home. At the last minute, something told me it would be a good idea to go and reconnect with everyone. That was definitely the best decision I made in 2016.

The event was sponsored by Singapore Airlines and they introduced us to their new business class seats. They were also giving away a trip to Seoul (business class!) to one lucky attendee who posted to social media leading up to and at the meetup. FYI, I posted a total of times on Instagram and Twitter. Right before they announced the winner I jokingly said if I didn’t win then it was rigged – and about 5 seconds later they called my name!

No one ever thinks they are actually going to win. Right? I never do. Mostly because I don’t win things like this. One time my name was drawn in a raffle during an assembly in 1st grade and I got a pink satin purse.

I haven’t gone on the trip yet. I haven’t even picked out the dates yet hopefully, that will happen soon.” – Heather Olson
