Meet Travel Massive LIVE Chapter Leader, Kirsty Tanner

Travel Massive Live is coming back, and this time with two awesome chapter leaders to lead the pack, Kirsty Tanner and Frederic Chanut.

We had a chance to catch Kirsty and ask her a few questions about her role in Travel Massive and what she’s excited about most.

Kirsty Tanner is the Editor-in-Chief of an international online marketing optimization agency for travel brands. Like many Travel Massive members she started out as a blogger, that role grew into something she had never expected and she is now in her 4th year of working at In Marketing We Trust. She works from home or on the road in her Kombi van in Tasmania, Australia, and her colleagues are based all over the world.

What motivates you to be part of Travel Massive?

Travel Massive is a much-needed resource for me. I don’t think there’s a better way to connect to so many travel industry professionals throughout the world. I’m always on the lookout for speakers to share their knowledge with Travel Massive Live members through our new webinars and Twitter chats.

For me, Travel Massive is a way of not only sharing travel industry knowledge but also about learning from others.

What makes your chapter a great place for Travel Massive meet-ups?

The best thing about Travel Massive Live (TML) is that anyone can attend our events. It doesn’t matter where you’re based, or if you’re currently travelling. If you’ve got an internet connection then you can be part of the TML community and participate in our events.

Do you have a past event that was your favourite? Why?

My favourite events are the ones that haven’t happened yet. Travel Massive Live is currently in metamorphosis and I’m really excited about what’s yet to come. We have numerous webinars and Twitter chats currently being planned so now is the perfect time for members to join the Travel Massive Live community to engage with other travel industry experts, share and grow their knowledge.

What is your best advice to a newcomer who wants to attend a Travel Massive event for the first time?

My advice for initiating yourself into the Travel Massive community is to make sure your profile is set up and join your local chapters and Travel Massive Live. Whether you prefer in-person events or connecting with other travel professionals online, there will be a number of events to choose from. It’s also a great idea to get involved in the forum and discussions within your chapters to get to know other members.
