Travel Massive ITB Opening Party [Photo Wrap-up]

That’s a wrap! ITB Berlin 2017 has officially come to an end, which means we’ve finally found the time to sit down and reminisce through photos from our ITB Opening Party. Here they are!

With a full attendance of almost 350 influential travel insiders, tourism professionals, travel companies, travel bloggers, content creators and travel startups, we kicked on ITB Berlin with a bang. A portion of the entrance ticket was donated to G Adventures’ non-profit, the Planeterra Foundation.

We celebrated the evening at the Rainmaking Loft in their stylish 1920’s bar Le Labo. The Rainmaking Loft is Berlin’s vibrant international co-working, bar, and event hub for creative minds and entrepreneurs and also home to Startupbootcamp Berlin accelerator program.

Guests were offered unique frozen welcome drinks and cocktails from SchleckDruff, a company producing cocktails in a popsicle form. From Moscow Mules to Gin and Tonics, we were able to try it all!

Throughout the evening, everyone had the chance win some great prizes:

  • #urbanana and NRW Tourism gave away 2 tickets for a guided tour of the “Wehrhahn-Linie”, six urban art U-Bahn stations opened last year in Düsseldorf, Germany. They also gave away 2 vouchers for the Ruhr Area “Museum Folkwang” and a 1 night stay for 2 in a luxury hotel in Cologne, Germany.
  • SchleckDruff gave away 3 branded bags for 3 lucky winners and a branded refrigerator.
  • visitBerlin gave away 2 Berlin WelcomeCards (including free admission to 30 highlights in the city, a Hop On Hop Off bus tour and free public transit for 72 hours). They also gave away two additional tickets for the cities Hop On Hop Off bus tour.
  • Berlin Travel Festival gave away 2 branded sweaters during the evening.
  • Travindy gave away 2 tickets to their ITB Workshop Earn More by Being Sustainable hosted by Anula Galewska.
  • G Adventures gave away a G Adventures suitcase filled with swag and then Kash Bhattacharya walked home with the grand prize from G Adventures, a trip to Bolivia!

The following day, we all headed to ITB Berlin, the world’s biggest travel show, bringing together over 110,000 travel and tourism trade visitors from 180 countries to over 160,000 visitors.

Of course, we cannot forget about our wonderful accommodations partner, Generator Berlin Mitte, for hosting our Travel Massive chapter leaders over the week. On Wednesday morning, our chapter leaders met up to chat travel and future opportunities at the Generator Hostel’s Kupfer Bar over delicious coffee and warm croissants. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

A huge thank you goes out to all of our partners. We would have been able to do it without you!

If you have any questions or want to thank our wonderful partners for the evening, feel free to follow them on Twitter and send them a message: @ITB_Berlin@berlintourism@goingurbanana@gen_berlin@schleckdruff@loftberlin@gadventure, @travindy. You can message Berlin Travel Festival on Facebook.
