Now that you know a bit about Natalie, here’s a wrap-up of their latest event!
Part of the Scottish Government’s Scotland’s Winter Festivals program and organized by Unique Events, our first event of 2017 was a collaboration with ‘Red Red Rose Street’, an Edinburgh festival of words and music, which celebrates the life and works of Robert Burn. It was held in Element Bar on Rose Street on Tuesday 24th January.
A great mixture of people attended the event including travel bloggers, journalists, and marketing professionals. It was a great turn out.
We enjoyed delicious Burns themed canapés, including Haggis Bon Bon’s and Goats Cheese in Beetroot rolls, beer and gin and tonic, all provided by Element Bar.
During the event, we listened to ‘Blethering Burns’, performances curated by Flint & Pitch Productions and storyteller Fergus McNicol. There were 3 different venues along Rose Street with different storytellers, poets, and song-makers focusing on the aesthetics of Rabbie’s word play. Guests could walk from venue to venue for unique interpretations of his work.
At the end of the evening, our guests were treated to a ‘Red Red Rose Street’ goody bag, which contained a rose, some shortbread, and Robert Burns poems.
