Travel Massive Prague Joined the Holiday World Travel Trade Fair

It’s true! Travel Massive Prague joined the Holiday World travel trade fair on February 17th this year at Vystaviste Holesovice. We have the photos to prove it. 

There were a variety of industry professionals in attendance including hotel managers, tour operators, bloggers, tour guides, brands, and sponsors. The sponsor for the event was Incheba (the trade fair organizer) who provided us with the venue, 1 hostess, and badges for our speakers. We were also joined by Winery Johann W who organized a Travel Massive happy hour and let us sample some of their best wines.

Throughout the event, there were a variety of topics discussed, including:

• TTG Travel Startup & Innovation Award nominations
• Latest trends in audiovisual production
• Drones, time-lapses and photographs – their importance for tourism
• Influencer Marketing: advantages & use in practice
• Instagram for destination marketing
• Responsible travel as a new trend: Czech examples of social enterprises in Travel & Tourism
• Hyperlocal marketing, how GeoTarget the travellers
• Influencing tourism through geolocation games
• Function and the effects of artificial intelligence on tourism
• How to ballance personal and digital customer relationships

The presentations had a great turnout, some of them were actually packed to the last seats. The highlight of the event was definitely the presentation about drone filming, something that is quite new for many of us. Artificial intelligence in tourism and the use of Instagram for travel businesses was also quite a successful talk. The event was widely promoted and received ample coverage in the Czech media.

Lenka Nemcova is a travel addict ever since she finished university and started working in the tourism industry. She became a member of Travel Massive Prague in early 2016 and was happy to join the chapter leader team as Event Coordinator to develop more exciting events for our community moving forward.
