Travel Massive Toronto Experiences Incredible India

It’s one of the top places to go in 2017. India. This colourful and vibrant destination was fittingly the highlight of our February Travel Massive event in Toronto.

Our community was hosted by Incredible India tourism board and TourRadar, the world’s largest online marketplace for multi-day tours. The event was an opportunity to meet, share and connect with travel industry professionals while immersing ourselves in all things India – including a live butter chicken cooking demonstration, delicious paneer and samosas with henna painting, bindis, and saree tying.

Presentations by TourRadar and Incredible India enticed us to explore and step out of our comfort zone. India is a place of transformation. Anil Oraw, Director of India Tourism North America, insists go with an open mind because India will change you. He says if there is one tip you should know about India – don’t listen to anyone who has gone to India. Don’t ask Indians about India. Just go. India is a place of five senses that cannot be experienced through the guidebooks or from travellers. It is a place that can only be experienced yourself. And travellers indeed are catching on to this destination – it was ranked twice in the New York Times list of 52 Top Places to Go in 2017.

If you’ve never been to this vibrant country, make your own travel plans or combine it with a local tour run by someone who lives there. TourRadar has a vision for bringing travellers together for an adventure of a lifetime. The Vienna-based startup has grown to include more than 20,000 interest-based tours in 200+ countries and what makes them unique from other booking sites is that they know every traveller is different – they base their tours on five unique travel styles – Nature, Cultural, Independent, Cruises, Festivals, and Students so travellers can book based on specific interests.
