Heraklion Exposed- How To Use Social Media To Promote Your Business

On the 4th of May, we hosted one more Travel Massive event in Heraklion, Crete. Our theme was “Heraklion Exposed- How To Use Social Media To Promote Your Business”.

It was hosted at the brand new Cultural & Conference Center of Heraklion. The town of Heraklion is the largest urban center of Crete and the capital of the island. It is the new city break destination in Greece.

Our event had seminars but also a very interesting city walk.

During the seminar, the speakers talked about Instagram, blogs, video production, photography, drones and working with OTAs.

During a two hours city walk, we were able to implement our freshly acquired knowledge by strolling the streets of Heraklion and discovering its ancient marvels but also the modern face of Crete’s capital.

We were privileged to be allowed to enter one of the famous Venetian fortification wall gates and walked around the bohemian part of the city.

Our day ended with free drinks at Plastelina Cafe-Bar.

A huge thank you to all the amazing people that made it happen but also to our awesome participants.

We were privileged to have as guest speakers Marissa Tejada , Gabi Ancarola , Georgios Augustinatos , Manos Galanakis and Manos Giakoumakis.

Heraklion, you hosted us, entertained us and showed us your hidden beauty.

Christos Manousakis and I are very thankful to Mr. Gian Andrea Paolo Garancini, Deputy Mayor for tourism for all his support and help and to our sponsors as without them our event wouldn’t have been so successful: Crete Urban Adventures, Olive Green Hotel, ByRaki Flavor, Destination Crete, Strata Walking ToursArcus Suites, Crete Experience, and Plastelina Cafe-Bar.

Our respects and gratitude to our guides: Mrs. Liana Starida, Archaeologist and Mrs. Kallia Nikolidaki, Archaeologists of the Municipality of Heraklion.
