Win a trip for two anywhere Air Canada flies with CIBC’s AC conversion card

We’ve partnered with CIBC Canada to give our Canadian members a chance to win a trip for two anywhere Air Canada flies.

First, a few quick words about how much Canadians spend when they travel.

C$30 Billion.

Yup. That’s how much Canadians spent on overnight trips in other countries in 2015 – equivalent to the entire national GDP of Iceland.

Bonus fact: Canadians make more than two times as many international leisure trips per capita than in the United States.

CIBC have partnered with Air Canada to help Canadian travelers make the most of their money when traveling to other countries and have launched the CIBC Air Canada AC conversion card – which conveniently and safely stores up to 10 currencies, allowing cardholders to lock in their exchange rates, and can be used anywhere VISA is accepted globally.

How you can win a trip for two with Air Canada – to anywhere they fly.

Load your CIBC Air Canada AC conversion card with $100 in a foreign currency and qualify to win a trip for two anywhere Air Canada flies.

The competition is available to residents of Canada (view full terms) and a winner will be picked every month until August.

“We’re really excited share this competition with Travel Massive’s Canadian Members. For every $100 load in a foreign currency on your card, you get one entry into a ballot (so you can maximize your chances by loading more funds)” – Shaun Pham, CIBC.

Where could you go if you win?

Here’s the destinations you and a friend can visit if you win:

  • May Prize – North America, Mexico
  • June Prize – Europe, Middle East, Israel, Africa
  • July Prize – Asia, India
  • August Prize – anywhere in the world where Air Canada flies!

And here’s a list of places you could visit from Toronto, courtesy of Air Canada’s online route map.

PS: If you won, you could pay a rock star visit to another Travel Massive chapter – perhaps Sydney, Tokyo, Los Angeles, or London?

How the CIBC Air Canada AC conversion card works

Load the card with funds and you can spend anywhere VISA is accepted, whether you’re travelling or booking ahead. You can use it online, at stores and restaurants, and even for withdrawing local currency from ATMs.

What currencies are accepted?

You can load the card with up to ten currencies: US Dollars, Euros, British Pounds, Australian Dollars, Japanese Yen, Hong Kong Dollars, Turkish Lira, Swiss Franc, Mexican Pesos and Canadian Dollars.

What are the other benefits?

  • Unlike a gift card, it’s reloadable at any time from the convenience of your mobile device, with funds showing up instantly on your AC conversion card
  • Spend like a local, incurring no additional fees when transacting in the local currency
  • Emergency cash and temporary replacement if you lose the card during travel
  • Transfer your unused currency back to CAD or keep the funds for your next trip – the funds never expire!
