Celebrating World Tourism Day in Thrace, Greece

Travel Massive Thessaloniki & Northern Greece celebrated the World Tourism Day in the region of Thrace in Northern Greece, more specifically in the city of Aleksandroupolis.

Alexandroupolis was selected as the host location because it is a city offering many options to travelers. There are great beaches, excellent gastronomy, alternative activities and there is a lively city center.

Ramada Plaza Thraki was the main sponsor and an impressive number of local tourism companies, representatives of the Municipality as well as journalists joined the event.

Maria Athanasopoulou presented the benefits of the Travel Massive membership and its potential to support networking opportunities. She explained the registration procedure and motivated members to register.

After a couple short speeches from the owner of Ramada Plaza Thraki, Mr. Palakidis and the Deputy Mayor Mr. Vatamidis, the participants asked some questions which were answered by the chapter leaders Chryssa  Krassa and Maria Athanasopoulou.

Welcome coffee was offered before the event, and after the presentations were finished, all the participants enjoyed a glass of excellent Greek wine accompanied with Greek meze. Various topics were discussed that arise in the local tourism community and everyone began making plans for future actions.

The chapter leaders of Travel Massive Thessaloniki & Northern Greece expressed their satisfaction about this first event of Travel Massive in Thrace. The local media promoted the event, while the tourism companies based in the area showed great interest to explore it. Their expectation is to attract as many members as possible and organize more important events in the area for Travel Massive.
