Event Recap – Boston’s January Meet Up at Lola

In January the Boston Travel Massive met up at Lola’s headquarters in Boston for their first meet up of 2018.

A big thanks to Lola for hosting our community in Boston in January. If you don’t know about Lola – it’s a business travel app created by Paul English, the co-founder of Kayak. Paul and his team are very supportive of the Travel Massive community, and so we were thrilled to have them host us at their waterfront offices in Boston.

The team at Lola provided their awesome office space – nestled on the Boston waterfront – and provided beer and wine, plus tasty catered bites! To top it all off, they even put together fantastic swag bags as prizes for attendees.

This gathering was all about reconnecting and reinvigorating the Boston Travel Massive chapter. After announcing the event, we soon found our RSVP list filled to the brim with eager members. The best part about this gathering was the incredible enthusiasm by members to make the meet up a fabulous success.

Welcome new Chapter Leaders

Among the many travel pros we had in attendance, a few confidently stepped up to the plate to take over the Chapter Leader role. We’re thrilled to welcome Nicole Barrett, Mike Tunnicliffe, Deidre Smith, and Josephine Massey as the new Boston Chapter Leaders! We have no doubt they will provide excellent leadership so that the Boston folks can continue to build this wonderful community.

What’s next for Boston?

The Boston Chapter is keeping its momentum going. We’ll be gathering at the Boston Globe Travel Show in February for more networking opportunities. After that, plans are already in motion for regular events throughout the year. Boston has so much to offer with a booming travel industry – it’s about time we show it off!
