Meet Sandi Atlas-Gordon, Blogger and Content Marketer

Sandi is a travel blogger, content marketer, and recently joined as a co-leader of the Boston Travel Massive.

Sandi is the co-leader of the Boston Travel Massive amd founder of The Artful Passport. In 2017, she created the blog to inspire others to explore Europe’s rich architectural, cultural and natural heritage. 

How did you get into blogging?

For many years, travel was my part-time hobby. Like most people, I looked forward to my annual vacations. But with a demanding corporate marketing job, travel planning was always a spare-time activity.

After many years in the same job, I decided to make a change and pursue a path in the travel industry.

What is the focus of your blog and why did you choose that niche?

Given my passion for European travel, I created The Artful Passport to inspire people to create their own trips to off-the-beaten path places there. Based on the kinds of trips I’ve taken over the last dozen years, I write about ways to become immersed in local culture, meaningfully interact with locals and explore some less well-known parts of the Alps.

What are some travel blogs that you read regularly?

The PlanetD for travel tips and inspirational stories. Europe Up Close for more Europe inspiration.  And finally, Seth’s Blog, by Seth Godin, for insightful ideas about building an audience.

What projects do you have planned this year?

I’m about to launch a series of interviews with Europeans for their suggestions about places visitors can go for off-the-beaten path experiences. Also, I plan to create a round-up post with other bloggers about ways travelers can meaningfully interact with local cultures and people.
