Travel Massive Edinburgh Raises Over £1000 With Party Fundraiser

With over 60 members in attendance, the team at Travel Massive Edinburgh celebrated their third birthday with a fantastic fundraiser, raising over £1,000 for charity.

Over 60 guests joined Travel Massive Edinburgh on Thursday 29 March 2018 to celebrate the chapter’s third birthday.

Over the past three years, our chapter has grown to a community of 480 members, hosted 15 events and created over 8,000 industry connections!

To celebrate we held a charity quiz and raffle to raise funds for two charities, Bloodwise Scotland and Maggie’s Centre Edinburgh, both of which have supported members of the community.

Thanks to community members Kayleigh Moriarty and Craig Brodie of venue Ghillie Dhu, who provided our venue for the second year, plus welcome drinks and more – they even took a team for the charity quiz! The travel community also sponsored amazing raffle prizes, and members Gemma Armit and Jonathan Trew took on the roles of MC’s for the quiz.

It was brilliant to see many of our core community members, Gemma Armit, Jonathan Trew, Amanda Walkins, Geoff Kennedy, Cavid Nadirov, June Edgar, Marianne Bailey, Chris Davidson, Sonia Bolger, not forgetting Aileen Lamb, one of the chapter members that we were fundraising for. We welcomed new members including Kirstin McEwan and Karen Worrall.

All four of our Chapter Leaders have been blown away by the sense of community that has grown in Travel Massive Edinburgh, people want to get together, share, network, and also help and support what we do, and particularly for this event, which especially means a lot to us because it supports our chapters friends and colleagues. It is fantastic to get that support – and of course, we have a lot of fun at the event.

A big thank you to everyone who supported our 3rd birthday fundraiser event, particularly our venue sponsor and raffle prize sponsors, many of whom are members. We raised a total of £1030 to divide equally between our two chosen charities. Members who couldn’t make it to the night were very generous and also made donations.
