A year around the globe with World Life Experience – Q&A with Antonio Dias

World Life Experience is a social responsibility project that sends travelers on a year-long journey around the world.

Founder Antonio Dias is an entrepreneur and a member of our Lisbon Chapter. In this interview Antonio shares more about World Life Experience (launched in 2017) and tells us why he believes traveling can be both fun and socially responsible.

Why did you found World Life Experience?

I’ve always wanted to make a positive contribution to society. I firmly believe that today’s younger generations care deeply about sustainability and the welfare of this planet and its peoples. That is why World Life Experience was set up.

The project involves a year-long trip around the world with 11 people from various countries. They travel and engage in social and environmental activities; interacting with local communities and NGOs.

What’s the mission and values behind World Life Experience?

World Life Experience promotes social responsibility through hands-on involvement with local organizations, to raise awareness of the world’s social and cultural diversity.

We aim to foster a conscious that we can really change the world by changing the way we travel: more sustainable, ethical, and respectful of every tradition, custom, and local. Social actions can fill voids in people.

Helping others may help you overcome personal struggles and give your life new meaning and a sense of purpose.

What achievements has the company made so far?

The group has been in 14 different cities in 11 countries and worked on reforestation, permaculture, and projects geared toward environmental sustainability, participated in workshops with refugees and cooperated in reconstruction projects, since January 2018.

The second part of World Life Experience begins on July, 27th in Mexico and will continue to Costa Rica, Columbia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and will end on November 2018 in Brazil.
