Event Recap: Las Vegas Talks Travel Tech

Travel Massive Las Vegas recently hosted a discussion panel on the future of tech in travel and hospitality.

This event recap was written by Mark Fancourt, co-founder of Travel Massive Las Vegas. Mark has 30 years of experience in the travel and hospitality sector globally, working in technology leadership roles for technology vendors and industry operators.

The focus of the event was on the future of technology in sector as envisaged by three leading Las Vegas industry technologists – Scot Hasting of Bonatel Exclusive Travel, Tom Gehrke, and executive consultant in travel technology and Mukund Mohan, Vice President Product Strategy, Hospitality from Infor.

The discussion focused heavily on the impact of robotics and environmental concerns, where technology could play a part in the future of the industry. The conversation amongst the community flowed freely ranging from the impact on the workforce to application of AI in industry.

We had a great turnout with 30 members and guests across the scope of the travel including hotels, travel companies, agencies, technology vendors, media, academia and consultants to the industry. Leading organizations including MGM Resorts, Amadeus and Oracle were in attendance.
