Cape Town Travel Massive kicks off 2019

Travel Massive Cape Town kicked off the new year with an introduction to the 2019 Community Roadmap shared by co-leaders Fuad Peters and Lyle Scritten.

The event recap was written by Fuad Peters, Cape Town co-leader. He is passionate about tourism development & marketing and has 17 years of experience in the area. Fuad is the founder of tourism consultancy business – Cape Tourism Connect.

The Roadmap introduction event was held in the new Purple Rayn Boutique Guest House in Constantia, located close to some of the top spots in Cape Town and its surrounding areas. The venue also sponsored the catering, as well as three prizes and welcome drinks for all the attendees.

There was a wine tasting, sponsored by Lourensford. Two more ticket prizes were provided by Cape Town Comedy Club.

We had a guest speaker from StreetSmart South Africa sharing with us what their mission and how the community can get involved. Their goal is to raise funds for curative and preventatives programmes either for children on the street or those who are vulnerable and at risk of becoming street children. Purple Rayn had just signed up to StreetSmart because of this event.

Thanks to Purple Ryan boutique guest house

Nestled in the majestic Cecelia Forest of Constantia, Cape Town, Purple Rayn offers luxurious accommodation, fine dining experiences with exclusive venue options, and function amenities as well as the ultimate spa indulgence.

The tranquil setting of the Hotel with its vantage point and open air views makes the guest centered amenities and bespoke guest house services a truly amazing combination. The property not only promises distinct quality and excellent service, but also guarantees a memorable experience in style, grace, and comfort.

Who was there?

It’s fantastic to see regular event attendees Letishia Charles, Deidre Gower & Damian Gower, Janine Avery & Ryan Avery, Larissa Sparg and Hitekani Mbatsana as they work their magic in the room. It was once again an honor to have the former Johannesburg chapter leader Neil Jansson attending.

It was great to have the new member and prize sponsor from Cape Town Comedy Club, Desiree McKie attend her first Travel Massive event.

We also welcomed a number of new members, including Candice Aspeling, Tony Cicero, Christopher Phillips, Michelle Fourie, Sadia Hartle, Faye Safod, Ivy Stripp and Nikki Jacobs.

Thanks to all members who attended and expressed their interest to help with the future events in line with our 2019 Roadmap. We look forward to a bumper 2019.
