Toronto gets a taste of Guadalajara

In April, Toronto Travel Massive partnered with Guadalajara Tourism for a fun-filled fiesta of networking, delicious regional eats, and a special cooking demonstration.

¡Hola! From Guadalajara

Toronto Travel Massive was honoured to be hosted by Guadalajara Tourism at Nella Cucina Cooking Studio — because one of the best ways to experience a destination is through its food.

Travel industry leaders, content creators and influencers got a taste of Guadalajara traditions and gastronomy at the event. All attendees could participate in the special contest with a chance to win a visit to Guadalajara, Mexico.

Famous award-winning Guadalajara-based chefs Fernanda Covarrubias, from the La Postrería, and Darren Walsh, from super-chic Lula Bistro, flew in all the way from Mexico just for the event.

They cooked up Chile en Nogada (of beer tartar, walnut and peach caviar), Tostado Al Pastor (with handmade blue corn tortilla and Jalisco pork belly, chili adobe, grilled baby pineapple, and smoked guacamole), real Cacao Bean, Jícama, and Smoked Marlín Taco.
