A handy app called Croissant can help you find productive coworking spaces in more than 70 cities (and 500 locations) from New York City to Lisbon.

When you’re a digital nomad, or on the road for travel conferences — finding a space to focus on your work can be a challenge. As it turns out, there’s an app for that.

We asked Georgette Eva – Head of Community at Croissant – how their company is helping coworkers discover new work spaces around the world.

What is Croissant, and what is your mission?

Croissant is a productivity app that lets you access coworking spaces in your city by the hour. You can pop into a coworking space for that morning call, check out and go workout, then check into a new coworking space if you’re downtown.

You can even use Croissant if you’re traveling to different cities. We partner with coworking spaces around the globe, from Amsterdam to San Francisco.

Our mission is to help that person working from home or working remotely find a productive, inspiring space to take their ideas to the next level. We really see this as the future of work.

How does Croissant work and who is it for?

Croissant (www.getcroissant.com) is for the remote worker, consultant, freelancer, digital nomad, entrepreneur, or team. We started the app because we needed it ourselves when working in coffee shops for long periods of time proved a little difficult. We wanted access to coworking spaces part-time and by the hour and so Croissant began.

With a monthly subscription, a user gets a pack of hours and can check in via the Croissant app to try coworking spaces for the morning or the whole day. If you’re in Berlin one week, then Las Palmas the next, you can still use the app.

What are some new cities you’ve launched in that you’re excited about?

We just partnered with several spaces in Mexico City and had the opportunity to touch base with a bunch of digital nomads and remote workers there. It sounds like an exciting scene with tech and startups blossoming in the city.

We’re always excited to hear from new and existing members about how they’re utilizing the app. And it’s really exciting to take a step back and appreciate our partners. We started with NYC and San Francisco and are now in over 70 cities.

Do you have some examples of tourism businesses that are part of your community?

Travel backpacks, an affordable flight site, and a crowd-sourced trip planning site are part of the Croissant community. Along with coworking spaces open for flexible coworking days for those travelers or remote workers.

What’s your favourite part about working with Croissant?

I really love that we’re supporting the future of work and helping entrepreneurs have time to focus on their goals and taking their projects to the next level. With easier access to coworking spaces, members have a reliable Wi-Fi connection, free coffee, a place to host investors or clients.

I use the app myself and it’s a great way for me to explore my own city, work out of my house, and to meet other remote workers.
