Lisbon named Europe’s Leading City Break Destination

Summer in Lisbon had a shy start, but the sun came out for the Travel Massive members on 19 June at the rooftop bar of The Vintage Hotel & Spa.

Rooftop Connections

Lisbon had just won the award for Europe’s Leading City Break Destination at the World Travel Awards and it seemed like the perfect time to get old and new members together for a celebratory drink.

The Vintage Hotel & Spa Lisbon was kind enough to let us use their rooftop bar for our summer meet up, free of charge. We were welcomed by a warm and friendly staff, with a beautiful view of Lisbon.

Lisbon Travel Massive meet-ups are perfect for community members who prefer small and intimate gatherings, where the real connections happen long before the business cards exchange, just like this one.

Member Shout-outs

New member Beatriz Lerer found our chapter when doing an online search for travelers’ communities in Lisbon. We were excited to welcome her to the chapter.

Bruno Fonseca, also a new member, accepted the Chapter Leader’s invitation to join the chapter and seek the support of our Massive community as he launches his travel business.

Devour Tours’ Ellis Dixon and Cyra Alcock joined us just days away from launching new food tours in Lisbon.

Among our other attendees were Mindi and Daryl Hirsch, bloggers at 2 Food Trippers, and Wendy Werneth of The Nomadic Vegan.

We are already planning the next event and we hope to see you there!
